Mahr-e-Fatimi refers to the dowry paid by Ali (R.A) for Fatima (R.A). Ali (R.A) sold his Zarah (coat of armor) to Uthman (R.A) to raise this silver. It is considered a beautiful Sunnah to keep Mahr moderate.
Minimum Limit: In the Hanafi school, the minimum Mahr is 10 dirhams (~31g silver). Mahr-e-Fatimi is a higher, recommended standard for those with means.
