Frequently Asked Questions — Sisters Private Classes
Are the teachers always female — without exception?
Yes — without exception. IqraExpert’s Sisters Private Classes operate on a strict female-teacher-only policy. Every Alima and Qaria in our sisters’ programme is a woman, certified, background-checked, and assigned specifically to female students. No male teacher can be assigned to a sisters’ class under any circumstance. You will never need to ask, request, or verify this — it is the default.
Do I have to keep my camera on during class?
No. Camera is completely optional and always has been at IqraExpert for sisters. Your Alima works with your voice recitation and teaches via screen-share or audio. Whether your reason is Purdah observance, family around you, or simply preferring not to be on camera — the decision is entirely yours and will never affect the quality of your class.
I am a complete beginner who does not know any Arabic — can I still join?
Absolutely. Many of our sisters start from scratch with Noorani Qaida — learning to recognise Arabic letters for the very first time. There is no prior knowledge required to begin. Your Alima will start exactly where you are and build from there. The free trial class includes a level assessment so she knows exactly where to begin.
Can I enrol my daughter alongside myself?
Yes. Many of our sisters enrol themselves and their daughters simultaneously — each with their own separate Alima, their own schedule, and their own personalised learning plan. Younger children are matched with teachers who specialise in teaching girls aged 5–12. You can both book your free trial classes on the same form or contact us on WhatsApp and we will arrange both.
Which courses are available for sisters?
All courses available at IqraExpert are open to sisters with female teachers: Noorani Qaida, Quran Recitation (Juz Amma to Khatm-ul-Quran), Tajweed, Hifz-e-Quran (memorisation), Quranic Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and Fiqh-un-Nisa, Seerah, and Duas and Daily Adhkar. You can take one course or combine multiple — your Alima will advise on the best combination for your goals.
What is Fiqh-un-Nisa and why is it important for Muslim women?
Fiqh-un-Nisa is the branch of Islamic jurisprudence that covers rulings specific to women — covering Taharah (purification), Salah during menses, fasting rules, marriage and family law, clothing, and the rights and responsibilities of a Muslim woman in daily life. Many sisters do not know these rulings clearly because they were never taught in a structured way. Our certified Alimahs teach Fiqh-un-Nisa from authentic sources in a clear, practical way that you can apply from your very first class.
I am a busy mother. How do I fit classes into my day?
This is exactly why our sessions are 20–30 minutes long. At IqraExpert we understand that a mother’s schedule is not her own — between children, housework, cooking, and often a job — a 60-minute commitment every day is unrealistic. A 20–30 minute session in the morning before the family wakes up, during nap time, or after dinner is absolutely achievable. We also allow rescheduling up to 3 times per month with no penalty.
Is there really a free trial — no strings attached?
Yes. The free trial class is a complete, full-length session with your assigned Alima. She will assess your level, teach you something real in that first class, and give you a recommended learning plan. You pay nothing for the trial. Can a revert (new Muslim) sister join with no background?
Yes — and you are especially welcome. Our Alimahs have taught reverts many times. They know the unique starting point: the excitement, the desire to learn everything at once, and sometimes the feeling of coming in “behind.” There is no behind. Your Alima will start you exactly where you are, go at your pace, and ensure you feel confident and valued in every class. Many of our most motivated students are reverts.
